White Label Consultants is delighted with survey results that show 93 per cent of the delegates left the Develop Croydon conference, our joint venture with 3Fox International, with a better image of Croydon.
The vote of confidence was measured by the Croydometer electronic voting system which asked whether Develop Croydon had positively improved delegates’ perceptions of Croydon. 93 per cent of the delegates voted “yes”.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, keynote speaker at the event attended by 250 businesspeople, investors and potential investors, announced a £23m package of funding to kickstart Croydon’s regeneration.
He told delegates: “Croydon could be the third city of London. Crime is coming down, there is a young, dynamic, increasingly skilled population in the borough and the town is seeing the benefits of long overdue investment in its public transport system.
“If we can continue to invest in housing, shopping and transport infrastructure and if we can get it right, other companies will want to invest in Croydon.”
